Delta Concierge Review: Helpful, but It Still Feels Like a Robot

August 21, 2026

Delta Concierge is now available to all SkyMiles members, bringing an AI-powered travel assistant directly into the Fly Delta app.

After trying it, my takeaway is simple: it’s helpful, but it’s nowhere close to replacing a good Delta agent.

✈️ Medallion Mafia Tip: Start with Concierge for simple questions. If your trip goes sideways and you need creative rebooking, get a real Delta agent involved.

What Is Delta Concierge?

Delta Concierge is an AI assistant built into the Fly Delta app. Delta expanded it to all SkyMiles members in August 2026.

It can help with things like flight information, baggage tracking, SkyMiles and MQD balances, eCredits and certain cancellations or rebooking situations.

The appeal is obvious: instead of navigating through several screens in the Delta app, you can simply ask for what you need.

And for that, it works pretty well.

Where It Falls Short

The problem is that Delta calls this a Concierge.

A good concierge doesn’t just give you information. They understand what you’re trying to accomplish and figure out how to make it happen.

That’s where Delta Concierge still falls short.

If my flight gets canceled, I don’t necessarily want a chatbot to show me the same alternatives I can already see in the app. I want someone to figure out how to get me home.

Maybe that means a different connection. Maybe it’s standby. Maybe it’s flying into JFK instead of LaGuardia. A good Delta agent can understand the bigger problem and sometimes find a creative solution.

Delta Concierge doesn’t consistently provide that level of problem-solving yet. It still feels like a robot.

⚠️ Watch Out: If you’re dealing with a major cancellation or complicated rebooking, don’t waste too much time going back and forth with Concierge. This is where Delta’s human agents remain much more valuable.

Final Verdict

I like Delta Concierge and I’m glad Delta is building it.

For basic questions, it’s genuinely useful. It’s fast, convenient and sometimes easier than digging through the Fly Delta app.

But it’s not replacing Delta’s agents anytime soon.

The exciting part is where this could eventually go. If Concierge can learn to understand the goal behind a travel request and proactively find creative solutions, it could become incredibly valuable.

For now, use Delta Concierge for convenience. Use a Delta agent when you actually need a concierge.
